Hello, fellow adventurers! Welcome to my corner of the internet, About Us, where I am willing to write my travel stories, and by that, I will try to provide you with some useful information and tips.

Broken Compass is a travel & road‑trip journal created for everyday explorers who believe that the best stories start when you step slightly off the well‑trodden path. Here you’ll find first‑hand guides, honest reviews, and practical tips designed to help you experience India through the eyes of a local rider, trekker, and lifelong learner.

About Us

I’m Deepak Chaudhary.

An experienced traveler and motorcyclist with a passion for discovering the most captivating destinations, both on two wheels and on foot.

Born and raised in the Holy city of Haridwar, my love for travel was ignited at a young age. I was always the kid with a head full of dreams and a heart full of wanderlust. As I grew older, my fascination with different cultures, landscapes, and experiences only intensified.

My journey as a motorcyclist began when I was very young, and it was love at first ride. The freedom of the open road, the wind in my face, and the thrill of the ride were intoxicating. I quickly realized that combining my love for travel with my passion for motorcycling was the perfect way to explore the world.

 

Over the years, I’ve journeyed through a lot of places, each with its unique charm and challenges. From the winding roads of the Himalayas to the bustling streets of Delhi, from the serene Jungles of the Northeast to the historic Rameshwaram, I’ve experienced it all.

  • Roads travelled: 150,000+ km across 20 Indian states & many mountains
  • Mountains climbed: Shrikhand Mahadev, Kinner Kailash, Roopkund, Adi Kailash, Dayara Bugyal, and many more

I founded Broken Compass to merge my two greatest loves — Riding and Stories. Every route, weather pattern, permit queue, or chai shop recommendation you read here is tested personally or verified through on‑ground sources.

This blog is a chronicle of my adventures and a platform to share the knowledge I’ve gained along the way. Here, you’ll find detailed travel guides, insightful reviews, practical tips, and inspiring stories, all designed to help you plan your next adventure.
